Sony has joined forces with mobile partner T-Mobile to develop a high speed Internet service that offers speeds of up to 3.6Mbps in Sony's latest line of SZ3 notebooks. The SZ3 notebook comes with a couple of graphics chips and the option for users to choose the extended battery life or massive graphics firepower

according to their needs. Other features include an integrated Motion Eye webcam to help you keep in touch with loved and close ones, fingerprint recognition, TPM security, and a hard drive drop detection that will safely tuck the hard drive head away just before the notebook hits the ground to keep your data safe and sound. The SZ3 Vaio also uses ExpressCard hardware to attain extremely fast speeds when surfing the Internet on-the-go, courtesy of T-Mobile's high speed networks. The SZ3 line of Vaio notebooks are not slack on processing power either, as they all come with Intel's latest Core 2 Duo processors which are ably backed by 2GB of RAM. Of course, as with all Sony products, you can expect to pay a premium for the SZ3 when it reaches your shores.
Pros : ExpressCard Internet connection, fast processors, ample RAM
Cons : Relatively expensive
Sony launches the new SZ3 series Source
Hi Colbert,
Right on for the COSTS.... comparing with other brands out there, you're definitely paying a premium
One of great benefits for having this laptop, is the easy "ice-breaker" point. People always get amazed when the see how sleek my Sony Vaio is, and because it's not as common as the other brands, people tend to want to check it out more...
Maybe it's time to upgrade my current Sony Vaio.. but probably not because i've just got a brand new Fujitsu about 1 month ago and i've not even started to use it yet.
Best wishes,
Fione
