Accompaning the announcement of their G80 graphic cards, Nvidia  announced the new chipset series for Intel platform, the nForce 680i SLI Chipset, which is prepared specifically for hardcore enthusiasts in mind. This chipset is compatible most of the processors, like Intel Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Celeron D, Pentium 4 and Pentium D processors. For future processor compatibility and overclocking headroom, it was engineered to run at 1333 MHz front-side bus. The stable front-side bus speeds have even been observed close to 2000MHz due to the implementation of Quicksync Technology on the chipset. And this Chipset also features LinkBoost, FirstPacket, DualNet, high definition audio and MediaShield technologies on it.
