Iiyama Prolite E2200WS monitor Review

Simple and yet sleek design runs among all the collection of Iiyama-Prolite-E2200WS45.jpgIiyama and can also be seen in their latest model the Prolite E2200WS. It is styles in a matt black design finish with a thin bezel and a narrow speaker grille beneath the screen. Unlike other LCD screen that are on the flimsy and very unstable cut, the Prolite E2200WS stands sturdy and strong. This Iiyama TFT is Iiyama's own version of the new 22in widescreen monitors coming from various manufacturers, all of which use TN-based panel with a 5ms response time. Which is specialy formulated for the speed gamers needs but less the price of a high-specification MVA or S-IPS panels favored by graphics professionals.

The over-all review about the Prolite E2200WS's display is very good. It is more on the bright side and has good colour response. Making it a good choice either for home, office or business use. Dual VGA and DVI inputs allow simultaneous connection of your PC and another device, such as a games console, while the widescreen aspect ratio is ideal for DVD playback, or for use with the Media Center capabilities of the new Windows Vista operating system.

On the downside of it, if you are one of those who are looking for high end specifications this monitor is not for you. As the Prolite E2200WS is designed to fit the budget conscious' financial capabilities. Deleting most of the complex features and retaining the most useful and needed ones. Six control buttons provide access to the on-screen menu system. One of these is an auto-setup button, provided for convenient configuration when using the VGA port. The menu itself is rather simple and therefore easy to navigate. No sRGB mode is provided, but there’s a selection of colour temperatures available to match your preference.

The Prolite E2200WS may come in cheap but it still protects it's consumers as much as it can by providing a three year warranty.
