Microsoft believes that the Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 which is due to be released in the April-June quarter of 2007 will pave their way into the business telephone market. If also their predictions are right, by this time other large companies have already switched over to the cheaper Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, leaving the stage all to themselves. It is also wise of Microsoft to think of letting the companies to test the new product first, maybe as a matter of early advertising on their part as well. With the new technology, users can instantly call anyone from within office applications Just by clicking on the persons name.
The whole idea is indeed promising and if well implemented will sure earn a lot of recognition from users as it will make communication in the business industry easier. So for now we are keeping our fingers cross for Microsoft.
