Video calls are only a whiff of imagination a decade ago. With faster internet
connection speeds and increased bandwidth video calls are part of our daily life. Numerous software had been authored for video calls. Unfortunately due to a variety of reasons-lack of bandwidth, slow computers and poor quality webcam- video conferencing are limited to 320 x 240 size and 15 fps. In an era of HDTV this is not something we are use to. No worries, there is a hack in skype that allows users who do not have a fast bandwidth, fast computer and a capable webcam to increase the resolution from native 320 x 240 to a better resolution of 640 x 480. Unfortunately the hack only works one way. In order for both parties to see each other at the ‘hacked’ resolution, both users will have to apply the hack.source
