
Following the success of Intel 965 and 975 chipsets, Intel is offering a newer chipset to provide solution for future products such as DDR3 rams and PCIe 2.0. The main feature however is the faster front side bus comparing to previous chipsets.
Supporting the latest Intel 1333 Mhz front side bus as oppose to 1066 Mhz from the previous models. This new chipset will come with 4 slots for RAMs. 2 are meant for DDR2 while the rest will be for the new yet to be release DDR3. It also features the new Intel Clear Video technology which has full support for DirectX10 along side HDCP and HDMI. Intel has always been at the fore front, developing its own chipsets and supporting all the latest technology that is available. Intel fans will definitely be proud of this new chipset. No pricing has been announced at the moment. The new chipset is expected to be available in about a month or two.
