The latest offering from Seagate to counter Fujitsu which just release its own 7200
rpm 160 gb harddisk not too long ago is a harddisk of the same capacity. Momentus 7200.2 also includes some cutting edge technology that will keep it just a step in front of its competitor. It includes a free fall sensor that will detect a fall from a height of just 8 inches. Built to withstand shocks of 900Gs and operating shock of 350 Gs the drive comes in a minimum capacity of 80 GB all the way till 160 GB. The 160 GB version will retail at a price of $188. It is good to see more competition in the top end of notebook harddisk drive. More will be expected to come into play with their own offering.
