It seems like UMPCs is becoming more of a hit this days something like what PDA bring to the world few years back. Things are looking good for UMPC market by more and more manufacturer launching UMPC’s. TabletKiosk is an Australian company, and they launched the World’s First5 Rugged Ultra Mobile PC. It comes with Finger print Biometrics Reader, PCMIA Slot, vanity Camera, Outdoor viewable screen and a 1 GB RAM. For its processor it makes use of 1.2 GHz Ultra Low Voltage processor by VIA. Its battery life is pretty impressive at 3 hours. No pricing details are available for comment. There is no graphic cards or any integrated graphics being mentioned so most probably this UMPC will run on standard Windows XP rather than Vista. Overall this is quite a powerful device by UMPC standard and it sports new features such as PCMIA which cannot be found on any other UMPC.
