XFX is planning to launch a new motherboard base on nForce 680i chipsets. There
are no specifications for the board available but only pictures. As they say pictures says a thousand words. Looking at the picture shown we can see that it supports up to 4 sticks of rams running at dual channel-most probably up to a maximum of 8 GB. There are two PCIe slots available for running SLI and 2 pci slots for soundcards and other add on. Taking a more detail look, the first PCIe slot is placed quite a distance away from the subsequent PCI slot. This is to enable larger graphic card to fit without blocking any PCI slots as what happens to most motherboards today. Standard features of 680i chipset will include an integrated ATI Radeon X1250 series. As all integrated graphics you can choose to install your own graphic card of choice and be happy because it can support SLI.
