For those who believe in budget solutions I have a recommendation. HP Photosmart All-in-One C5280 does a lot for a low price. The multifunctional inkjet printer is perfect for home offices or for small businesses. It does prints, scans and copies. As the matter of fact I have purchased one for my small office and I must say it worths the money. The design. The AIO C5280 looks pretty sharp and has a pleasant design. It has a nice ice white cover and attractive lines. In the front you can observe the LCD panel and the buttons aligned in a single row. The 61mm colored LCD display will help the users to work so easy. Below the display there are the memory card slots: MemoryStick, SD/MMC, xD and CompactFlash. The performance. I have tested its performance in printing paper, photos, CDs, scanning and copying. The print paper quality is quite good. Not excellent, but as I've said above it does a lot for a small business office. On the other hand photos are very nice. The scanner si a little noisy, but that don't trouble me. However I was disappointed by the copier quality. Another shortcoming I have noticed is the lack of the PictBridge socket for direct connection of a camera. Perhaps the omission has to do with the memory card slots that give you the possibility to print photos without computer's use. The verdict. Overall HP Photosmart All-in-One C5280 offers a good quality. Even it doesn't have PictBridge socket and performs not so well in copying I will rate it as a good acquisition. It retails for $119.99 at Circuit City. Also the costs for cartridges are acceptable. Thus, the C5280 is considered a budget solution.
