Mozilla has released the first beta version of the Firefox 3 web browser. First of all I want to recommend Firefox for the users that don't utilize it yet. The Firefox browser appeared as a competitor to Windows Internet Explorer. Because of security holes, Internet Explorer lost many users in favor of Firefox. Mozilla web browser offers enhanced security, faster loading pages, a big community and permanent updates and upgrades. It is more stable and convinced with its usability and functionality. If you have had security problems with exploits and malware propagated through Internet Explorer you should consider immediately to switch to Firefox.
The Firefox 3 Beta 1 version is not the final one. Mozilla tries to use its large community to receive feedbacks and support. The Firefox 3 includes some new features, but there is a lot to come. To give you an opinion about what it can do, the software displays detailed website information at one single click on the favicon. It comes with Malware Protection, new Web Forgery Protection page, new SSL error pages and anti-virus integration. Firefox 3 offers improved performance by increased reliability, higher loading speed and less memory usage. Its developers identified the needs for a new password manager, easier scrolling, bookmarking and a better integration with Vista and Mac operation systems.
Furthermore, Mozilla has created a new design based on new graphics and improved display of fonts with ligatures and complex scripts. What is important for you to know is that installing the new Firefox 3 won't change the profile folder. It just overwrites the existing Firefox 2. Even you want to remove it, the profile folder will remain untouched, so a new Firefox 2 could use it again. So, there are only benefits for the users.
However there could be a shortcoming, because some add-ons and extensions have not been upgraded. But even so, you should give it a try. Firefox keeps your computer and network safe.
