
Tuesday, Microsoft has published its regular monthly security update. The surprise came with two security fixes, one of them being classified as critical. Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 were exposed to a dangerous bug. Hackers could exploit it using the Internet Explorer 7 browser, to steal passwords or to send spam.
Computer's users were exposed to an important security hole by another bug found in Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003 operation systems. Hackers could take advantage of lack of security and redirect the Internet traffic from legitimate sites to fake ones.
Microsoft has admitted the important security threats for Windows users: "...is concerning as it's a publicly known issue that puts computer users at risk". Windows users have the possibility to update their OS with the automatic update feature or just to get the fixes from Microsoft's security webpage.
