Verizon Wireless and Kyocera have announced the new Kyocera KPC680 ExpressCard with CDMA2000 1x Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) Rev A technology. Verizon Wireless had launched a previous similar model called KPC650 1x EV-DO Rev 0 PC Card, but the KPC680 ExpressCard brings increased productivity and maximized performance.
It works with the BroadbandAccess service and was optimized for Verizon Wireless's Rev A network. The KPC680 provides average download speeds between 600kbps and 3.1Mbps and average upload speeds of 500kbps to 1.8Mbps.
The KPC680 features an antenna design that provides superior 1x EV-DO Rel. 0 & Rev A performance. As nice as it may sound, but first you need to know that your live in Rev A coverage area. The KPC680 ExpressCard runs on Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Mac OS X.
