
The worldwide sales in carrier Ethernet switch/routers have raised with 25% from last year and 6% every quarter. The sales during the rolling 4-quarter period ending in 3Q07 totaled no less than $1.86 billion. The study presents strong growth from Cisco, Huawei, and Hitachi Cable which have driven the CESR market above $500 million for the first time.

Currently, Cisco maintains a dominant position with a 56% market share. The second vendor in the top is Alcatel-Lucent with 19% of the market.
