Which solution could be the best for increasing the sales than a price cut? Furthermore, when Christmas approach, these deals are more than welcomed. D-Link prepares for holidays with unbeatable price offers. Its entry-level 802.11n routers will be sold in North America to below $50. The company is aiming to reach shipments of its 802.11n routers up to this year's goal of 2 million units.
Cutting the price for its routers, D-Link will offer great deals for customers with up to 35% below the rivalry offers. Its direct competitors are Linksys (a division of Cisco Systems) and Netgear. Linksys has been focusing on promoting its new line of dual-band 802.11n devices, more than reducing the prices.
D-Link strategy is to increase the shipments of 802.11n routers to total 800,000-1,000,000 million units in the fourth quarter of this year. That would be a double quantity in comparison with previous periods.
