You all know that Microsoft's products are the most hacked softwares in the world. The main target for hackers are the operation systems. If you don't use a powerful and up-to-date antivirus your system will be in danger. Thus you should know how to fight against spyware. My advice is to protect your computer or network because your data can be lost or furthermore the security of your information is in jeopardy.
Like its predecessors, Windows Vista suffers from security holes. Here is a list of the best antispyware programs that could save you from trouble.
1. PC Tools Spyware Doctor 5.0 is the best on the market. It retails for only $30, but it is very powerful and is the only program that protects against phishing Web sites.
2. Grisoft AVG Antispyware 7.5 does a good job too. It costs $30 too, but the renewal process is only $20. So, this antispyware software represents a good deal.
3. Webroot SpySweeper 5.5 provides a good behavior-based detection, but disinfection could be improved.
4. Microsoft Windows Defender 1.1 performs very well with adware, but has serious problems with spyware detection. Some malicious programs are not detected, so this expose your computer to risks. However the program has free license and can be found at Microsoft's Security Center.
5. Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4 was one of the best in the past. However, today it doesn't perform so well. It can't detect all new threats at all. It comes free as well.
I am telling you again: protect your computer or your networks to avoid hacking risks. Obviously, the software programs listed above can be used successfully with any other version of Windows. For increased security is recommend to use besides the antispyware programs, an antivirus and a firewall.
