There are some rumors that say AMD will launch the dual-processor R680 graphics card on January 23rd even it was scheduled for January 28th. Due to a non-disclosure agreement, the specs list won't be revealed in advance. Thus I cannot tell you too much about this dual-GPU graphics card.
Some sources claim, AMD has chosen to include two 55-nanometer graphics cores instead of using a single and massive 80-nanometer processor. It is possible to connect two R680 graphics card through a CrossfireX link and to obtain a four graphics processors.
The R680 will be the first dual-chip video card released this year, but NVIDIA stays close with the GeForce 9800 GX2. I will return with further details when the NDA lifts.
