As I was saying in a previous article, nobody likes to exchange hard drives, especially when working with desktop units. Here is another USB device that helps users connect SATA drives to any computer. In fact, it is a docking station for SATA hard drives manufactured by Thermaltake.
The device works with either standard 3.5" desktop size or the smaller, 2.5" notebook size. The Thermaltake BlacX comes with a AC adapter and a USB cable. The docking station features a blue light LED that alerts you when it is switched on and when the data transfer begins the light will turn red.
Thermaltake BlacX device is easy to install and compatible with most major operating systems. When you plug in the BlacX, the unit will be accessible directly without installing any drivers. The OS will detect a new removable storage device and the work is done. The Thermaltake BlacX retails for $32 which I think is a good deal.
