Microsoft released Wednesday the new Internet Explorer 8 Beta. Microsoft browser , the Internet Explorer, has become the most popular over a decade ago, when the Netscape Navigator failed to compete. The new browser comes with improved features over the previous version.
First of all, IE 8 has favorites (bookmarks) toolbar like FireFox. More than that, when the user presses the right-click button over a web page, he can bookmark the page in social networks like Digg, LiveSpaces or Facebook. Also, the user will be able to "Map with Live Search" the page or to "Define with Dictionary.com". Besides all these, the web browser offers improved phishing security and automatic crash recovery.
Microsoft engineers told they will try to make IE8 compatible with industry- standard versions of the code that tells browsers what Web pages should look like. After Microsoft was fined by EC for anti-trust policies, the company strives to make the code complaint with the existing standard. Third party developers accused Microsoft of introducing some proprietary code that make web pages look different in IE. Last year, the Norwegian browser company Opera, has made a complaint for not opening Internet standards.
