Although the beta version of Firefox 3 had been ready for several months, Mozilla didn't encourage users to move on from Firefox 2. That decision came because the browser wasn't totally secured and had bugs. However, today they make it official.
"In many ways it (Firefox 3) is much more stable than anything else out there," said Mozilla Corp Vice President of Engineering Mike Schroepfer.
The popular browser will reach the final version somewhere in June. Until then, Mozilla's fans could switch for the newest Firefox 3. It comes with improved performances and some new features. Its users could surf websites even when they are not connected to the Internet. Moreover Firefox 3 will consume less memory than Firefox 2.
Mozilla's officials said that Firefox 3 beta 4 is ready now for prime time. Also they stated that the future developments refer to "the visual look and feel of the program". The rivals, Internet Explorer and Safari prepare new releases and fixes, but the browsers war is not over.
