Although it is not official yet, FireFox 3 is ready for the public. Mozilla has posted a Download Day Pledge page which announce that the browser will be released soon. The action organized by Mozilla community tries to set a Guiness World Record for the most downloaded software within 24 hours. The fans should pledge to get the browser when the Download Day arrives. They insert their email address and Mozilla notifies them when the event comes.
FireFox 3 reached the 5th Beta version which may be the final one. The browser was called "the fastest FireFox ever". The release candidate 1 was made available for download on May 15, but the company originally planned the official release for the Q3 or Q4 of this year. We might get it earlier as it seems.
With more than 14,000 changes over the FireFox 2.0, the new browser brings increased functionality, phishing and malware protection and new productivity functions.
